I'm an English major from many years back, but I never found out whether it is "I couldn't care less" or "I could care less". "Irregardless", I ------ care less. The Crom '84 Westy >> By Crom! Your careless use of "care less" couldn't make me care less either. But since English is a second language for me, I try not to be so careless in it's use. Regardless of what Vanagon you drive, I couldn't care less if you're careless with the use of "care less". The confusions with the use of such words as "your" & you're" of "yore" keeps the List interesting for me. For some, the List helps keep them from being 'car less'. So "care less", "careless", "regardless", "irregardless". Just don't let the IR end with the verb ATE. (hey that's a brake caliper brand too!) BenT |
