Dang! I really didn't want to believe that, but you are
probably right...it was running sooo good.just about to get
it smogged...go figure!
I see no reason to do the bottom end though as it'll
probably be fine, so it's either repair the heads or heads
and rings! (Yes, I know many wouldn't approve, but money is
more than tight, and if something aint broke!) ;-)
...I never have paid anyone to do what I can do
myself.....so it looks like I will be busy... ;-(
got to:
1.)clean up the burned 2.0 litre thta came from a '78 and
install in my '78 wsty
2.)remove and repair all damage to the 2.0 litre engine in
the '80 westy (still need to finish the re-paint of body
too)
3.)remove teh '73 midget engine to tighten and torque down
the pressure plate bolts that a p/o's mechanic screwed up
nine years ago causing it to sit with a fresh clutch for so
long.
4.)finish installing the mounts on the diesil 1.6 engine I
am putting in the '84 vanagon, and than get it installed,
troubleshooted, running than replace the tail light harness
& lights from the fire..
5.)drive down to Las Vegas to remove the blue-printed 4.2
engine from my friends parts range-rover drag it up here,
and than install in my dead '95 discovery..
6.)finish prepping & painting the replacement frame for the
'66 Land-Rover 88" pick-up and start transfering everything
over(got to figure out my new design for the engine mounts
for the engine...mercruiser 140 that was mounted kinda
screwy by a p/o)
7.) remove engine from Ducati 750ss and tear apart botom
end to replace the blown main roller bearings...than get to
the other "issues on it"
etc....
and I am now driving my friends mercedes diesel as nothing
of mine is up...sigh! (well the '80 and '84 vans are
actually his too)
Paul (too much on my plate! heading back outside)
