chris, these are not huge big fat globs or rubber like engine mounts,
rather they are rubber bushing with a metal sleve in the middle. I have 4
of these brackets on my desk.... yes, they have rubber in them


as for my definition of rubber? lets not go there... i'm a wacked out
chemist.
