Subject: need some help with tranny swap
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

'lo all-

got my old tranny out on the ground, and with an air impact wrench got the bolts on the flywheel off.... so two things: 1) i posted about earlier re: getting the pilot bearing out 2) the flywheel o-ring is bigger than where it's supposed to fit (????). i got it from vw and everything. maybe it's not the original flywheel? i know the engine is a rebuild. it's got 5 hex bolts holding it on. one reply that i got when i orginally posted about doing the swap said that i would need a 10mm allen socket to remove the flywheel but i didn't need it. makes me wonder maybe it's not the original.... ok, well, thanks as always, jeff
