Is there a special tool for pulling pipes apart? Do I just need a hotter torch? ------------------------ Clip --------------------- Pipes with clamps are deformed and often require cherry hot heating to get them apart. I've found that the best way is to clamp up the pipes in a vise, if possible and rotate the two pipes around until the normal section of the pipe reforms the cherry hot crushed part. Not seeing exactly what you have it is difficult to say exactly what the solution is, but if the connection is on a straight section you might just cut the pipes and get a straight filler pipe to reconnect them. The down side is ........... it is often a job better done by a muffler shop. I gave my torch set away because it set for five years and I just wasn't comfortable having Acetylene bottles around my house. Oxygen is just as dangerous in some situations involving oil.
