nahhhh. The bracket i liberated off of a 92 jetta was a big fat piece of cast iron that included no less than 4 (four, IV, IIII) rubber bushings in the vicinity of the alternator. One on either end of the "pin" that bolts the alternator to the bracket and then one on either end of the other "pin" that bolts the bracket to the block. This does not inlcude the rubber bushing that assist with the ps pump or alternator mounting either. I just happen to have some bracket shots handy, now imagine that:
