I'm experiencing a lifter that is flat more often then not. I'm running 14W-40 amsoil, and I live in PA. (it's been very cold). What do you suggest I do? Could misadjusted rockers cause the lifters to go flat? Sometimes the tapping is so bad, it begins to knock. I envision the push rod jumping out of the seats on the rocker or the lifter. I sounds like the engine is coming apart..
