Bill,

David and I have differing (and probably similar too) opinions on various aspects of I4 conversions. But discussing them like this on the list is problematic. The tone of the comments can be misinterpreted and the "he said-then he said" notation becomes clumsy and unworkable.

What I would like to do is complete the survey, post the results, then we can discuss the pros and cons of each approach using the survey results as a base.

But I will, in the spirit of an honest discussion, admit to a couple of biases:

1. I dislike unhelpful answers to posted questions on the list. If someone asks about a vibration problem with their engine, it doesn't help to reply with negative or ambiguous statement. Either post a tip or leave it alone.

2. I look critically at responses to engine conversion list questions that are given by members with a commercial interest in engine conversion!

Alistair
