If you do this, be aware of the repercussions of having a salvage title. There are often inspection requirements before you can register it again, and insurance may be more expensive. The insurance company I use refuses to insure vehicles with salvage titles. If you ever decide to sell the van, most people will consider the salvage title history a major red flag.
