But with all the improvements that you could do to the K-Bikes--they always still had one heck of a harmonic vibration and just about at crusing speed so your feet and hands would go numb.

The answer? Lop off one cylinder and it became a 750 and stopped vibrating. Typical Deutchland solution--

Now for the Vanagon therory,

The K&N filter at best is a long life free breathing good investment--no HP gain.

And by cranking up the pressure regulator--all the flat 4 will do is swallow more fuel---and still go no where.

The exhaust update may give you a few more horses, but not anything worth an honerable mention. It may sound like your going somewhere, but in reality, nyet.

The exhaust with ratio rocker's, some computer magic, a balancing act on the spinning components, some porting and polishing on the intake and exhaust and a performance cam will give you the most bang for your buck

On BMW motorcycles- watercooler, 4 cyl, fuel injected performance was increased by putting a different fuel pressure regulator on and a KN air cleaner and freeing the exhaust. Has anyone tried this on a Wboxer. Sid
