Subject: WBX powered Type 3. FS near SF for $1K

Just in case anybody else out there was interested in this "serious mistake", pmail me. I had plenty of time to check it out last night. For most folks it is more suitable for parts expecially ifyou own a Type 3 & T3's like me.

It seemed a decent fit. The WBX sure made that abortion fly, albeit with a lot of unusual noises. Darn thing sounded like a regular air-cooled squareback. No detectable vibration unlike the Taco powered Squarebacks. It seems that substituting the bellhousing from an aircooled loaf bus makes the WBX a bolt on to Type 3 tranny.

Interesting how the small radiator with pusher prop in the rear seems to work way better with so little plumbing as compared to the Vanagon application. No heating system to speak of.

WBX powered Type 3 and not a T3.

BenT
