Eric,

No clearance problems what so ever. Its a natural, the alt is about where the Diesel injector pump would be, and the compressor is below that. Used all the Diesel accessories, pan, oil pump, mounts, etc. I really don't understand why Volkswagen never did this. Had to be a engine group thing, I once heard Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche' had an on going engine development jealousy thing. Inner company bull crap, who knows.
