Howard, As the old busses had regular Bug motors, I'm miffed why VW didn't put a Golf/Jetta motor in the Vanagon myself. If I ever get time, I think I'm going to put together a parts list of all the VW parts, complete with part numbers, of everthing one can use, to install a digifant A2 motor in to a Vanagon. This alone would convince everyone about what engine to install in there Vanagon Thanks for the info. Eric
