Subject: Re: Vanagon carrying capacity impresses

Haven't had my Syncro long enough to torture it, but years back I did own a Suzuki Samurai Hardtop that I regulary put to the test. One time I had all the mechanical components, including engines, subframes and suspensions, from two Austin Mini 850's and the loose body parts of one, in and on the Samurai. It was quite a site. Another time I had 14 4x10' sheets of 5/8" drywall on the rack, plus a few 12' 2x4's to hold up the ends. Luckily only had to drive 15 miles. I broke the gutters on that one. A little older, a little wiser.
