It's been a long, long time since I've been on this list but I just signed on as
I've given my Vanagon away to a fella in trade for some labor and promised
to help him tighten it up.

Now, my 85 Vanagon has, on occasion, displayed a similar tendency and I
started poking around when I came across a tech bulletin talking 'bout the
ignition coil possibly being the problem.  Wish I knew where that link was but
perhaps someone else here can elaborate on that problem specifically?
