Hi there, I've shipped several transmissions, but never an auto. Multiple Golf trannies, as well as 4-speed Vanagon. The weight was around 90 pounds and I shipped them via UPS for $40 each. HOWEVER, the auto tranny is one heavy beast. I can pick up a 4-speed or even a syncro tranny to move them around. I can't lift an auto tranny. So the weight may be prohibitive. As I know UPS has a maximum weight limit they will transport - around 100 pounds or so. I have an auto tranny in Denver, CO if you are interested in driving out, that would be one long drive though...
