Don't you folks use anti-seize on the threads? A lot of times the culprits are the monkies with the air impact wrenches at tire shops. They run those nuts up *real* tight, and getting 'em back off by hand can be difficult. I usually have to stick the wrench on the nut and then stomp on it. If you visit the Honda newsgroups you'll find a lot of complaints about this kind of over-torquing causing warped brake rotors. Anti-seize is a good idea, though some people worry it'll cause the nuts to loosen up on their own.
