Greetings all, A couple of recent posts have gotten me thinking about the Vanagon.com community. Interestingly enough, a software engineer who regular writes interesting columns I follow posted the following article about online communities: <http://www.joelonsoftware.com/articles/BuildingCommunitieswithSo.html> Note that I completely disagree with most of his points about what makes an effective online community, but his analysis of why they form is right on. Just read until the QA part if this kind of stuff interests you.
