I'm going through the process in Ohio on weds. I believe majority of states have a similar process. I bought an 85 vanagon that has a salvage title. The reason it has a salvage title is because it was impounded and then sold at a police auction. For some reason they make it a salvage title. I have to take it to the state troopers to get it inspected and after it passes I can get plates. I believe the title after the salvage title is always branded as salvage, but who really cares. I don't plan to sell it or if I do I'll just tell them why. I wasn't in an accident or anything. But I let you all know what happens weds. Mike |
