For me, letting the hot air out isn't enough, there isn't any cooler air to replace it. The van sits on an asphalt parking lot and gets cooked from every direction.

When I park, (if I remember) I open the roof vent about 1/2" and roll down the front windows 1 full turn (about an inch). I have the vent visors on the front windows so I don't need to worry about getting rain inside, since you know its going to pour most every afternoon in Orlando.

It would keep the interior from going above 130F on my inside thermometer, but thats about it. I experimented with leaving other windows open, the front vents and even the rear hatch since I have a hatch extender, but the temperature difference is minimal compared to leaving it locked up and sealed completely. My office is in an area where I wouldn't feel comfortable opening the poptop or leaving the sliders open for any length of time unattended anyway.

Thanks,
