Vanagonits,

I was thinking it would be interesting to make each day of the week, for the list, have a something special about it. For example: I would like to make a "deal day or best buy". Deal day / best buy - would be a day to tell the list of any parts you purchased for your vanagon, that you feel was the best buy for your hard earned money, and the reasons why. Maybe where the list can find the same deal, and any reasons why they may not be a good buy for others.

Here is my Deal of the week, that prompted this idea: I purchased a factory original muffler, from Auto-Zone. Cost was $109. Had to be ordered. This muffler is a true factory replacement. It came in and "borla" was welded right on the thing. This muffler had a lifetime Warranty. In the past I purchase one of these and it lasted well over 5 years. The other guys $99 dollar special, who we all know to well, (P-mail me for names) was bad at the 2 year mark. It also didn't fit well. At the Advanced Auto Parts I found a "walker muffler" for $76. A universal fit at that. This thing looked as if it was made buy a monkey with hammers. Piece of junk. THe Stainless steel mufflers are just out of sight with pricing. SO I recommend Auto-zone for mufflers. ERic
