Yes, my same friend with the Porsche powered Syncro Westy had a set of Hella
European (Sharper beam) H4 7" on his 78 microbus with custom wiring and
relays and 80/100W bulbs.  When he hit the high beams it was like a stadium
lighting up, but with nice crisp edges unlike the American style muddy
edges.
