Not to be rude, or anything, but what are you smoking? Not even remotely similar items, you might as well try to put a Chevy transmission in the van. I hope you are not attempting anything like this on your own; please at least look at the underside of your van before you plan on something involved like an engine swap. Scary, dude. Would anyone know if the parts from the auto. tranny from diesel jetta = which I think started in 1999 would fit into my auto. tranny from my = Vanagon?

If yes it would mean I could convert my gas engine to diesel and swap = the tranny stuff from the Jetta to my vanagon.
