Phil, Don't forget about the oil filter. The oil dip stick is to be used on the road. This mean the filter is filled. Next oil change, dump 4.74 Quarts in, run the engine to fill the filter, and let it sit on level ground for a few minutes. Then check the stick. This is the proper oil level. Eric
