Subject: Back Seat Bed Conversion
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi all,

I have a 1987 Syncro Vanagon GL and would like to convert the backseat to that of a Weekender folding seat for camping. I have the back seat assembly including cushions, hinges, cabinetry, etc) from a 1981 Weekender.

What suggestions would the list have? How to mount the hinges to the vanagon (need to drill through back deck)? How to mount the existing seats to the hinges? Has anyone attempted this conversion using existing seats? Z-beds are no longer available.

Regards,

Ben Beasley
