Anyone who has ever seen how robust these metal floor brackets are will understand why simply plugging the jumpseat bottoms into a hole in plywood is an invitation to disaster.

Would you rather have your passenger sit on a chair partially mounted in wood or steel? Forget about how easy it was not to have to take the plywood or carpet out. Think. Think. Think.
