I think that sounds high, a good running stock P/U is only worth $1200 to most with the exception of the fanatical old farts who sell their stock overpriced P/U's for $2000+. If it's a custom restored P/U then it's probably worth it but I wouldn't pay more then the motor and tranny is worth ($400) cause a scrap yard wouldn't give you a cent for the pickup with a bad motor. They might even charge you for the towing. Just my 2 cents and I love rabbit pickups.

Besides Bob, you're to tall to fit in a rabbit pickup, I think it has a 5'8" max driver height for comfort rating.
