Just bought 89 Vanagon Wolfsburg Carat in super? shape except motor. Has
sat unused since 97 when gal who was driving it said lights on dash started
flickering and motor started to squeel. She cut it off and pulled over. It
was towed to a mechanic? who said he could not fix it.Was then towed to
another mechanic? who said no compression on  any cylinder.  Then he fixed?
it so he had compression on 2 cyl. Motor would not run so he gave up and
this pretty van sat till I talked owner into selling it. Where should I
start to check motor?
