Hans, One other thing (besides the great info that you will get from sources like this list) that you might want to check into is finding your local VW club. It is quite possible that you can hook up with these local, twisted, stubborn, old VW derelicts who will most likely be only too happy to feed your irrational, wrong-minded need to own an old VW until your lot in life is as sad as theirs. At least, that's what happened to me and exactly what I try to do to other impressionable schoolboys like yourself. Hopefully, after enduring countless hours of boasting about their glorious VOW pasts, you'll get one or two of these geezers out of his rocking chair long enough to help you access and repair this engine of yours. But, if you do find someone willing to lead you through the repair or rebuilding of your engine.... make sure that you have done your homework ahead of time by reading, reading, and reading so you won't be wasting what is left of this poor soul's life.
