Small tears and holes?!? Did you guys see the picture of his canvas? Oh, wait, sorry, Stan already said he didn't. Practically the whole driver's side of Dylan's poptop canvas is ripped. Anyway, if I was going to go through all the trouble of replacing it, I'd get a new one, even if money is short. After all, camping in a Westy is what they're made for. About $240 at Bus Depot . . . replace it once and never again. Granted, I make enough these days that it would cost me that much in my labor to replace it . . . I'll leave you all guessing as to whether I make too much or if I'm just darn slow! :^) Marc Perdue Alistair Bell wrote: > on 17/3/03 11:03 am, Stan Wilder wrote: > > > I haven't gone to your pictures but I've used iron on Khaki or Blue Jean > > patches to fill small holes (6x6 or less) and I've used clear silicone to > > fill tiny holes in the bug screens 1" long or less. > > > > Stan Wilder > > I agree with Stan, the iron-on khaki patches work well for those small tears > and holes. > > Alistair > > PS its a two person job of course, one to man the iron the other to hold a > backing board. |
