Got the Westy Syncro bug so bad....buying and selling them got to be a (short term) hobby...... until I figured the time was better spent making money on my "day job". Now I'm down to only one permanent vehicle. I've bought 4 vans sight unseen but with a lot of (common sense ??) questioning to the Sellers. The question list gets longer after each van you purchase. There are always surprises. Only one of these purchases was from eBay. Two were real nice vans (one of them is my remaining "one and only"). One was basically sound, with a new engine, but took quite a bit of elbow grease type clean up to make it nice. One, which I expected to be the best deal of all....turned out to suck a ton of cash and I think "maybe" I broke even. Watch out for that bug.....unless you're a pro shop. Warren C. |
