I purchased a new canvas a few weeks ago and the weather was finally nice enough to install it. When I went to attach the new one to the top, which is upside down on the ground, it does not have a beaded edge like the old one. It has the rubber on the bottom side, but the top side is simply the fabric folded over and sewn shut with no cord inside. The old one has a cord that fits in the groove and is held on by the metal strips with screws. I am afraid without this cord the canvas will pull out and the screws will tear through the canvas. Has anyone else had this problem? Do the new ones simply not have this cord inside? Or do I need to send it back? Thanks, Nathan 85 Westy
