NDT!

ZygloŽ is the brand name of a dye-penetrant inspection process. The process consist on dipping the suspect part into a water or solvent soluble(sp) fluorecent dye. Remove the part, allow it to "dwell", or sit there, and absorb the dye. Rinse the excess dye off and apply a "developer" which gives the part a uniform color. Examine the part with a blacklight looking for places the dye has seeped into any "discontinuities", or cracks.

Google "dye penetrant inspection" and I'm sure that you'll turn up hundreds of site detailing the process *much* better than I.
