Hey folks,

I wanted to give an update on a problem I recently had with an 87 Syncro. The rear differential lock engaged wonderfully but failed to disengage. I drove it home about a mile engaged. Everything was fine until the turn into the driveway. Then there was a loud pop and we were disengaged. Of course at that point, it refused to engage.

After speaking to Daryl at AA, I pulled the rear diff lock servo. The seal was torn. I bought one from Derek Drew in DC. Put it in and everything seems to be working fine. Thanx to both Daryl and Derek!

Now to find out why the VC is not working...

Z
