Data on fill capacity .............. 3.5 liters or darn near a gallon of fluid. Steel shavings are normal, brass flakes are normal. Steel shavings are gear facings, brass flakes are synchronizers. At over 100K and probably never been serviced it is probably just showing normal wear. A transmission that is noisy will surprise you and run many miles. If it is hard shifting, jumps out of gear, locks in gear or has to be forced into gear that is another story. Reverse gears are often noisy since they are just a tiny little gear on a bushing, not something to strike fear into you.
