I chose the second route (over the bridge to PEI) I might spend the night
there at one of those "Tres Joli" Bed & Breakfast before heading over to
the raucous. Any nice Bike Trails along the way???

What you can do is go one way when you're going and take the other route when you're coming back. But I strongly suggest you spend some time on PEI it's a beautifull island with red sandy beach and the people are very friendly and welcoming.
