Small tears and holes?!? Did you guys see the picture of his canvas? Oh, wait, sorry, Stan already said he didn't. Practically the whole driver's side of Dylan's poptop canvas is ripped. -------------------------- Clip -------------------------- Once a Westy top starts going south it doesn't have much life left in it. Sewing just produces more tears and cheap is what type of fix I offered. I'm not real keen on the replacement canvas that I've seen in wrecking yards. Most are very stiff and hard to fold. If I were going to replace my canvass I'd go for the OEM match if I could find one. The aged canvas offered recently as NOS didn't excite me since just sitting around for ten to fifteen years does as much damage as hard usage. I've done some patches with clear urethane roof seal but it is a tedious three or four week process since each side has to cure completely before the other side or the second application can be applied. This is somewhat speeded up in good old Texas heat but it is still just a patch and although it works it still looks patched up. The blue juean patches lasted ten years on my MG Midget top since it was a fair weather car they were seldom seen with the top down.
