I've been using unleaded 87 octane (United States) in my '84 since 1991
and it runs fine.  I've only had my Westy for a year and it uses 87 also
.... runs great.

I have a -86 Caravelle C,  1.9l with fuel injection.


Up to now, I have used 98-octane fuel with lead, but that is now
becoming hard to get. Talked to my local VW dealer and they told me that
I could use unleaded 98-octane and even "try" unleaded 95-octane.


Can anyone confirm this ?
