Right on the money Stan, for low cost models at least. Please keep in mind that plenty of Westys are still selling for 8-10-12 thousand dollars. These would at most need the same repairs as a $2000-4000 passenger model and at the same cost. It is easy to spend $2000 in a first year of Vanagon ownership if you pay others to do the work. It is far from common to spend $8000 or more. Unless your name is Chase of course.
