I just installed mine, so i can't comment on the durability of it yet, but overall i am pleased with the results. It took quite a while, though.

Tips: 1) just tack-screw the top into place, and worry about getting the bottom edge lined up as that is what you will see. 2) nip a notch out of the front corners on the bottom to follow the contour of the aluminum trim cleanly. 3) take up all the slack out the top

I'm a little anal about some things on my van, and this was one of them. I was worried that the extra material hanging out the top (a few inches in some places) would be noticeable, but it really isn't. Now i have a mildew free interior with a new canvas, making me feel like i have a much newer westy than i actually do. Re: strength, i'm really not too worried about it. That hem will do quite a bit to prevent stuff from pulling out.
