I just got some power steering hoses made for my I4 conversion. I am using an AAZ turbo Diesel with an A2 power steering pump from a Golf 2 1.6 Turbo Diesel. The banjo fitting is the same opening as the Vanagon unit - only thing is the Vanagon one will not fit as there is that electrical connector on the end. I got the hose end changed at the hydraulic shop for $22 CAD - the fitting was something like $4 and the silver soldering job cost me $15 the rest was some tax.

What is the size and type of fitting on the high-pressure power steering hose that screws into the metal lines that go to the rack and back? (This would be the hose that goes from the pump to the metal line. Not the banjo-fitting end.)

Anybody have a source for these?

I need this information for converting the power steering lines used in the inline 4 conversions so they can bolt right up to the vanagon lines.

thanks matthew 86 syncro westy i4
