Subject: flooding, won't start
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Ok, so I'm satisfied with the oil pressure, and now, since I, like an idiot, didn't disconnect the fuel pump when cranking and cranking, the engine is flooded. Cranks and occasionally pops, white smoke from tail pipe, but won't turn over. I pulled the plugs (oh so wet) to let the cylinders dry for a while.

Question: I'm thinking I should put the plugs back in and crank it with the fuel pump disconnected, burn up the fuel that's in there, and quickly reconnect the pump. Is this possible/advisable? I don't want to put the plugs back in and crank only to flood her again.

Bonus Question: Where is the fuel pump relay?

Extra Credit: Can I just pull the pos. or neg. wire from the pump itself instead of the relay (which, until the Bonus Question is answered, I can't find)?

Thanks again.. Anthony '80 Camper "Badunkadunk" http://travelinvan.com
