Good Evening everyone,

I have just been volunteered to drive my family from Colorado to Las Vegas for a wedding at the end of May. In the interest of keeping the probability of homocide charges as small as possible, I'd like to find some type of DVD player I can put in both the Mercedes 300TE and Vanagon Syncro Camper that will permit the two small children to enjoy of entertainment while dad motors along the highways of the Western United States. I am pretty anal about both cars and do not want to mount anything permanently inside of either vehicle I am considering some type of consolidated television / DVD unit, then building some type of mounting cabinet which I can secure in the center of the back seat in the Mercedes, and to the front table mount in the Vanagon.

If you have seen any neat products along these lines, or better yet have had a wonderful experience with one, please advise at your convenience. A reply to both the list and my personal email address is appreciated, as I don't always make it all the way through the digests.

PS: Is it reasonable to try to get from the Denver area to Las Vegas in one day? Any suggestions for really neat or unusual things to see or do on the way? --

Best Regards to all, Jon B Kanas
