Start: Denver (county), Colorado, United States End: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States Total Distance: 759.1 Miles Estimated Total Time: 11 hours, 50 minutes

The above is predicated on using I-70 west to I-15 south to Vegas.

There are really too many "scenic" places to see along the way. My favorites come along when you get to about Frisco, CO, Then taking a "veer" south on 191 to the Moab and Canyonlands area. You'd have to stay overnight then travel the 30 miles back north to I-70 from Moab and onto Vegas. You'll also pass by Zions in the early season, on I-15, about 50 miles north of St. George, UT, just before leaving Utah at the Virgin River Gorge. Some pics of the Moab/Canyonlands area at the link below my sign.

Get a laptop computer, such as an Apple Powerbook or iBook. $1800 will get you a base model which should be able to play DVD's will have a bigger screen (12 inches) than a mounted system, better resolution and is more easily transported. PC Laptops (low to mid range) are probably similar. You can power the laptop off a convertor from the cigarette lighter. Plus you can also put games on it to give a different pace from the movies...

Denver to Las Vegas in one day is possible, I think. I did Montrose to the California line (past Las Vegas) in one day..and I wasn't trying to make it as fast as I could. But it will be a LONG day (and certainly isn't possible right now with the blizzard they've got...but which will probably be cleared up by May...)
