Hey Jeff, Well just this past weekend we had to straighten the 2nd gear brake piston. It bent because we did not remove the tension adjuster for the second gear. We corrected our mistake but not before we drove the tranny upa steep hill we live by (slipping all the way) Then we dropped the valve body and saw our mistake. Corrected it and now we have 2nd gear when the selector lever is in that position. It just wont go when 3rd is engaged(by going through the gears and then 3rd slips) Dont know why this is the case but im going to try to fix it again this weekend. : ( The knocking im not sure about anymore. Maybe its a main bearing maybe its in the tranny. Going to use a stethescope to listen to specific components and see. As far as the manual yes i have a bentely but i like to get second opinions from people who have done what im inquiring about. anyway gotta cook breakfast for the queen (my wife) thanx bro for the help! Respctfully , Raul '89 gl heartbreaker
