There are a few things to consider in replacing your fuel lines; 1) The Vanagon fuel pump can deliver 100 psi. 2) Replace fuel lines only with Fuel Injection Line, never use standard fuel line. 3) Buy good domestic FI fuel lines from NAPA or other supplier that can tell you it is Goodyear, Gates, Dayton or other known US supplier. I've bought FI line from Chief, Pep Boys and found it to be soft and it doesn't have a manufacturers name on it. In other words 'buyer beware'. 4) If possible continue to use the OEM fuel line clamps. Reasoning is that they fit the hose properly and can be tightened periodically if required. If the hose is all splayed out around the clamp, it is too soft, change it. The hose shouldn't squeeze down very much under the clamp. 5) A good look see about twice a year with your engine running will disclose any tiny leaks. The very small leaks evaporate quickly and can be detected only with the system under full pressure. 6) The little seals under your FI injectors can also leak and should be flexible. Touch them with a screwdriver and if they are hard, replace them ($0.49 / .79 cents each). Paranoid is good!
