I didn't see much flame but it looked as though there were about 50 arc welders (Bright!) having at it inside. ---------------- Clip --------------------- The last magnesium fire I saw was on an F-111 landing wheel, it somehow ignited on landing. It took about two 50 gallon drums of sand to put out the fire. I'd say the tire was pretty well spent. The aircraft was alright other than that. I've seen several of the aftermaths of magnesium fires in VWs ............. a real mess.
