Get the Haynes if it covers your model. I just checked my VW reference bookshelf and there is a version that covers waterboxers sitting right there. ISBN 1859604528, VW Transporter 1982-1990. My version of the 'Pocket Book' does not cover diesels so I can't tell you how much coverage it has of 'special tools' for those diesel jobs. Many of the procedures it does cover reference the same VW tool numbers as Bentley. Same with the Haynes. The 'Pocket Book' is far less inclusive but small in size. My version has nothing on the body, doors, interior, etc. How about the current offering Ron?
