got my rebuilt trans installed successfully into my 'new' '81 westfalia and it's running beautifully. i posted a lot of questions here and was helped greatly by all your replies and wanted to post a quick note of thanks and appreciation for this forum. special thanks to stan wilder for all the air-cooled info and buying guide in the beginning, and for always replying to my posts. many thanks for sharing your expertise, stan.
