Subject: 85 A/T fluid fill question.
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I've got an 85 GL w/ A/T. I changed the fluid and filter in the main pan shortly after I got the van but I was wondering about the gear box behind the big pan ( closer to the engine) I think it is the final drive if I am not mistaken. mine seems to be leakin a bit. Now my question is this. Does the final drive use the same resivior of oil as the main pan or is it separate? If it is separate do I use the same fluid as the other and do I fill through the plug on pass. side? josh 85 GL "EVA"---comin home friday. I'll tell ya'll about it this weekend.
